VIP Worldwide created a ground breaking virtual reality (VR) experience film for Sandy Lane, Barbados- one of the most iconic and prestigious resorts in the world.
Sandy Lane, Barbados, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World opened in 1961 and everything about it is extravagantly luxurious. There are three golf courses, as well as the island's largest and most renowned spa, and the warm Barbadian service and an exclusive beach scene keep that unmistakable Barbados balance of barefoot-chic.
The VR experience takes the viewer to all of the hotel’s highlights, such as some of the best golf courses in the world, including the Tom Fazio-designed Green Monkey and the famous Old Nine and the Country Club. It allows the viewer to experience The Spa at Sandy Lane where a stunning marble reception area and rapturous staircases leads you to their treatment suites, changing rooms and water therapies.
VR is an extremely powerful marketing and communication tool and is changing how people travel and make travel decisions. The technology takes you on virtual journeys in a completely immersive way allowing guests to be temporarily transported to sample authentic moments, experiences and adventures. Putting guests at the centre of the story is changing storytelling and the way a guest experiences, interacts and engages within the hospitality and travel industry.

Following the upload of the VR tour to Sandy Lane hotel’s Facebook account, it has already garnered 60,000 views. Virtual Reality content can be viewed by a VR headset, as well as Vimeo and YouTube. The VR content can also be embedded into a website.
